Bookshelf Buddy

Ever had trouble finding a book on a bookshelf? Ever bought a book and then realized you already own it? Snap photos of your bookshelves and have Bookshelf Buddy create searchable copies of them for you. Keep track of all your shelves so that you can go back in time and see how your taste might have changed.

AI enrichments are on by default. The text that's detected in every new photo is sent to Gemini, which allows the app to compensate for detection errors due to bad lighting or obstructions with suggestions. You can review and accept those suggestions with a single tap. Having the feature on also allows the app to auto-classify books.

Native, on-device detections are significantly enhanced with that feature turned on, though if you prefer, you can turn it off.

Text detection always happens on device. Your photos are never sent to me or to anyone else.
